Confidentiality

Rules for protecting non-public business information, approving disclosures, and using NDAs. Personal-data handling and rights are covered by the Privacy Policy.

Draft updated: 19 October 2026

1. What this covers

Non-public information you give us to review a business or an investor mandate, arrange introductions, or provide agreed transaction support: identity, contacts, ownership, figures, files, and the fact that a discussion exists.

A signed NDA for a named file sits on top of this page. This page is not that NDA.

2. Our rule

We do not publicly list business identities or confidential files. Only separately approved, anonymised summaries may appear in the Pipeline.

We share identifying information, contacts, or confidential files with a prospective counterparty only after a signed NDA and the disclosing party's explicit consent. An NDA alone is not consent. Internal access, service providers, and legally required disclosures are addressed separately below.

Consent to a first review is not consent to publish a name or send a full file.

An anonymised teaser or Pipeline note needs its own approval. Distinctive facts can still identify a company; we will generalise or withhold those.

3. Who may see it inside Safaqa

Only the operators and advisers who need it for review, matching, security, the introduction you approved, or transaction support you have agreed to.

We may use hosting and security systems to store and protect files. That is not permission to show the file to a buyer or seller.

4. What is not confidential

Information that is already public without a breach, that the other side already knew lawfully, or that they built independently.

We may disclose what the law, a court, or a competent authority requires. Where we can, we will tell you first.

5. After the process

On a reasonable written request we will return or delete what we can identify, except records we must keep for a live mandate, a dispute, security, or the law. Backups may lag.

6. Limits

It is not a non-compete or a blanket non-circumvention clause. If those are needed, they go in a separate signed paper.

Personal-data retention periods and privacy requests are covered by the Privacy Policy. The return or deletion of confidential business materials described above is distinct from those personal-data rights.
